At North Shore Surgical Centre we are committed to making your experience as comfortable as possible. Please take your time to read all the information below prior to your procedure.
PARKING
There is 30 minute patient drop-off parking at the rear of the building showing in blue on the map from number 63 to 69. Access either via 209 Shakespeare Road or via Thornton Road. There is 2-hour parking on the adjacent side streets.

BEFORE YOUR SURGERY
To provide safe and personalised care we require the following important information from you. Please download and complete the three pre-admission forms:
We need to receive your forms at least one week prior to your admission, either:
- Hand deliver to: Level 2, 213 Shakespeare Road, Takapuna
- e-mail editable PDF to: bookings@nssurgical.co.nz
- Fax: (09) 953 9301
- Post the forms to: PO Box 31240, Milford, Auckland 0741
COVID 19
This information is effective from 19th September 2022 and was last updated Tuesday 20th September 2022.
The safety, health and wellbeing of everyone is of utmost importance to us.
Whilst mask restrictions have been lifted in the community, as a healthcare provider they remain in place in our hospital.
Requirements for anyone entering North Shore Surgical Centre:
- wear a mask
- practice good hand hygiene
- report to reception on arrival.
Please do not visit our hospital if you are Covid-19 positive. For more information please go to https://covid19.govt.nz/
No one, including patients, should come to our facility if they feel unwell or have any of the following respiratory infection symptoms:
- a new or worsening cough
- sore throat
- shortness of breath
- head cold symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, nasal drip)
- muscle aches or fatigue
- loss of sense of smell
- a fever
If you are a household contact of someone with Covid-19, you need to follow the government recommendation regarding daily RAT and confirm a negative test before entering our hospital. Your specialist will also be asked to review you and discuss risks of you developing infection post operatively.
RAT Testing
There is currently no requirement for patients or their support person to undertake pre-admission RAT testing.
